It’s a one-day, in-person professional development experience for early childhood educators who believe kids learn best through play. Each stop blends hands-on sessions, inspiration, and connection with other educators who “get it.” Some tour stops focus purely on play, others mix in nature-based learning—but all of them will leave you fired up and full of ideas to take back to your classroom.

Your ticket includes the full day of training (9am–4pm), snacks, lunch, and a PD certificate for 7 hours of professional development. If you grab a VIP ticket, you’ll also join Kristen for a private dinner and drinks that evening—more connection, laughter, and real talk about play and teaching.

Teachers, caregivers, directors, and play-based advocates who are ready to move away from rigid, traditional practices and toward joyful, child-led learning. You don’t need to work at a forest school or a “perfect” play program. If your heart says yes to play, you belong here.

Tickets are non-refundable for any reason. But if something comes up, you can transfer your ticket to another person. Just email [email protected]  and we’ll help with the swap.

You’ll receive an email with all logistics a couple of months before your tour date and then again a few weeks before. Be sure you stay subscribed to Kristen’s emails—if you unsubscribe, you won’t receive any event details or reminders (and that would be a bummer).

Yes! Every attendee will receive a PD certificate for 7 hours of training. Perfect for submitting to your licensing agency or director.  Each location is working on getting the PD day approved in their location with their state/county agency however it is not guaranteed that they will be able to get it approved.  You will still get a PD certificate and submit it yourself to get it approved in your location. 

We’ve got you! You’ll be able to share any dietary needs when we send the pre-event form so we can plan meals accordingly.

Comfort is key! Think casual, practical, and ready-for-play. Some sessions may include outdoor activities or messy materials, so you’ll want shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little creative in. A notebook or your favorite pen wouldn’t hurt, but the day’s really about experiencing learning, not just writing it down.

There won't be any vendors but obviously there will be merch because you know I LOVE to design t-shirts!  What is a tour without tour merch??

If a tour stop doesn’t reach 25 ticket sales one month before the date, we may cancel that stop and issue full refunds. If severe weather or emergencies make it unsafe to host, we’ll also reschedule or refund your ticket.
